The Shipwreck- Aled Simons

I visited this exhibition in January and fell in love.

The Curators talk I attended at Mission Gallery in Swansea was not only a great insight into how a small gallery operates, but it was particularly inspiring for me because of my current work. I must admit that I didn’t research which exhibition they had running before I went, so when I got there I was blown away.

The whole exhibition was full of old and interesting doors.
Owen Griffiths, the curator of the show spoke to us about the ideas behind the piece, but didn’t go into detail because
he wanted us to make up our own minds about what the installation was about.
For me, it echoed the thought process of my current work, which explores pathways through life.
